DRC has begun design on the Purple Line Extension, Section 2 project, extending the high-capacity rail system westward, 2.67 miles of twin-bored tunnels underneath Wilshire Boulevard, from the Wilshire/La Cienega station to new stations at Wilshire/Rodeo in Beverly Hills and Constellation Boulevard in Century City.

 

Tutor Perini Corporation/O&G Industries, A Joint Venture, is managing construction of the $2.6-billion design-build project. DRC is responsible for the design and engineering of all street improvements, temporary and permanent utility, storm drains, sanitary sewers at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Beverly Drive along Wilshire through Canon Drive, North and South, and North and South Crescent Drive.
