Fang Maw Lee, PhD, PE
Project Manager, Water/Wastewater
Dr. Lee has over 35 years of experience in Civil and Environmental Engineering projects. He earned a Ph.D in Environmental Engineering with a minor in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Berkley and a Masters Degree in Sanitary Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. He is a California registered professional engineer in excellent standing.
Dr. Lee has completed numerous planning, study, investigation, engineering, construction, operation, and permitting of civil and environmental projects, including civil site development, storm drains, water transmission and distribution systems, sewage collection and conveyance systems, the design and engineering of water and wastewater treatment plants, groundwater remediation and state of the art Air Treatment Facilities for the City of Los Angeles, Bureau of Engineering. As a senior civil engineer, he prepared and reviewed specifications and plans for grading, access road, paving, storm drainage and yard piping for numerous lakes and rivers, water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and pipelines.
As our lead process specialist and senior project engineer, Mr. Lee prepares highly technical proposals, work plans and progress reports, supervises engineers and draft technicians, monitors budget and schedule, performs detailed quality assurance and quality control for planning and design, provides construction management and startup support, conducts pilot plants and prepares operation and maintenance manuals for large municipal water and wastewater treatment plants:
For DRC, Dr. Lee's work includes responsibility as a Senior Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer, Process Engineer, Design Engineer, Construction Site Manager, Startup and trouble-shooting operation engineer. Prior to joining DRC, Dr. Lee worked for Black and Veatch.
