The Port of Los Angeles (POLA) awarded DRC a three-year Prime contract to provide comprehensive A&E consulting services, including roadway, paving, demolition, terminal design, right-of-way, alongside heavy structural, mechanical, HVAC, and electrical engineering. DRC’s staff knows POLA’s culture, staff, guidelines, policies, and procedures, all of which have contributed to a longstanding relationship embodied in this on-call and other contracts. Our CAD specialists developed plans for eight buildings at Berths 136-147 – TraPac Terminal. The buildings included: Guard Houses, Yard Operations Building, Administration Building, Maintenance & Repair Building, Reefer Wash Facility, Driver Services Building, Roadability Station & Canopy, and Crane Maintenance Building. DRC staff worked on bent frame tapered steel girder Canopy Structures for Berths 121-131 – Yang Ming Terminal. We provided consulting services for the Timber wharf damage repair for Berth 118. Our specialists checked concrete pile and deck plans for Berths 408-409 – Pacific Energy Crude Oil Marine Terminal. Our AutoCAD specialists worked on plans for Berths 94-95 Catalina Freight Building Rehab & Retrofit. DRC’s structural engineering drawings included site plans, floor framing plans, sections, elevations, typical detail, etc. Other DRC projects include a small Dock House and a small Spill Boom Structure for Berths 408-409 – Crude Oil Marine Terminal, and six restroom facilities for the Paseo de Los Angeles, San Pedro Waterfront Enhancements Project. DRC also reviewed the Port’s engineering database, developed database indexes, provided network computer support that included security monitoring, researched as-built drawings, and transcribed information.
